About The Kiddie Depot Daycare:
The Kiddie Depot daycare center is a 24 hour licensed learning center located in the heart of Kansas City’s urban core.  It is owned and operated by Myron and Penny Dale McCant.  The center is a spin off of the original home-based child care facility that is still in operation today, Kiddie Depot1.
There are a total of 15 employees that provide services to more than 100 children.
Over the past two years, Kiddie Depot Daycare has experienced significant growth, outgrown the current facility, and has a waiting list of additional families that would like their services.  In 2017, they endeavor to build a new facility that would allow additional growth and provide a learning institution second to none, all under one roof.

How did you get started in this business?

The business was initiated by Penny becoming a grandmother and her love for children.

What made you choose this neighborhood for your business?

A desire to change the landscape of the inner city through the education of children.

If you have one piece of advice for an entrepreneur just starting out, what would it be?

All things are possible! Do your homework; if it makes sense on paper, you are giving yourself a great chance to succeed.

What inspires you most?

Our love for the underprivileged.

Where do you hope to be (business wise) in 4 years?

Hopefully we will be in the planning stages for our second development.

What is the biggest obstacle/program in reaching your goals?

The biggest obstacle is finding land for our planned developments.

Thank you to Myron McCant for the interview!
